Atlas Safety Management are one of the leading safety consultancies in the South West offering pragmatic and reliable safety advice to clients across the UK.  We are looking for right person to join our team as a Health and Safety / CDM Consultant.

 

Health and Safety / CDM Consultant

Wellington, Taunton TA21 9AD

Salary – £30,000 – £35,000 per year

 

Your Role

The position of Health and Safety Consultant is a mixture between field based and office based where you will be required to attend client’s premises/sites to assess their current health and safety situation to include, documentation, policies, working practices and much more. You will be required to give sound safety advice and be a support mechanism for clients.

The right person will be required to work predominantly within the construction sector, so previous experience in construction would be a great advantage, the ideal candidate will have passed the NEBOSH and ideally the construction certificate or have a suitable equivalent.

Your Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team and individually
  • Conduct site/ workplace safety inspections
  • Review client’s current arrangements and advise on areas that require improvement for legal compliance and best practice
  • Develop a close working relationship with clients
  • Work with the client to establish a robust safety management system that is easy to use
  • Development of safety documentation
  • Carry out accident/incident investigations and report as required by RIDDOR on behalf of the client

 

What you will need

  • NEBOSH General Certificate/Construction
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and time management is key
  • Current and clean driving license
  • The ability to work away from home for short periods of time.
